One of his many notable achievements is co-directing the acclaimed film Beyond Sunset (Mountainfilm 2022), which documents professional surfer Emi Erickson as she conquers 10 to 20-foot waves in some of the world's most unforgiving waters. He was also the main protagonist in 180 Degrees South (Magnolia Pictures 2010), a film that retraces the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins to Patagonia.
