Influence This⎟Episode 9: McKenna Peterson

McKenna Peterson is a professional skier in the winter chasing deep snow and a professional boat captain in the summer chasing salmon in Alaska. Born and raised in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho, Peterson grew up racing on the Sun Valley Ski Team, and eventually raced for UC Boulder on the USCSA team. After being introduced to big mountain skiing and the Freeskiing World Tour a year after collegiate racing, McKenna said goodbye to her skinny skis and started competing in Big Mountain competitions. Since starting on the World Tour, McKenna has been in several Warren Miller films, MSP films and other independent off-shoots. She is still focused on competing, but mostly with herself and has found solace in not taking her job too seriously.
