If you are sitting around wanting to escape the boring real world and delve into the world of psychadelics then do yourself a solid and check out to the Rome website. Brian Burton (aka mega-producer Danger Mouse) teamed up with famous Italian composer Daniele Luppi, American chanteuse Norah Jones, and savant-weirdo Jack White back in 2011 to craft a brilliant “soundtrack without a movie” called Rome. In case you’ve been living in a cave, Rome is an incredible album that you should actually pay money for. Close your torrent page for just a second and explore the interactive virtual world created by Chris Milk to accompany the track “Black” from this album. You start off in the dream as a hobo cooking a can of beans in an abandoned house. By the end you are controlling a flock of flamingos and eagles through the desert with a hanging city, flying ship, pixelated rainbow and many other trippy features. Let the flashbacks begin.
