When we were given the opportunity to choose a destination to take the INI Cooperative outerwear team somewhere to shoot our 2012/13-ad campaign our first and immediate choice was Mt. Baker.
Mt. Baker can be a major win or a major loss. If the conditions are good, there’s really no better place to be, however when the conditions are bad it’s almost impossible to get anything done. We figured we’d roll the dice because the pay off is so rewarding.
Some how, some way the powers that be let the sunshine come out and sure enough we got ourselves a few great days at Mt. Baker full of big jumps, big lines, and lots of fresh snow.
The line up for the trip was pro snowboarders Shaun McKay, Tyler Osland, and pro skier John Spriggs. All three shredders have mass amounts of experience in the back country so it was a treat watching them get technical on the many great features Mt. Baker has to offer.
It wasn’t all fun and games, as we had to work to make sure we have enough footage and photographs to get the necessary goods for a photos shoot. In order to do so we had to cross rivers, hike for hours on end, and build multiple jumps.
